Satan drew his scythe and reaped without mercy — until European Jewry was almost entirely destroyed. As a little girl, I tried to escape the blade. I prayed, I leaped, and I danced the dance of life.

For more than twenty years now, I have continued to pray and to dance — striving in every possible way to tell, to convey, and to pass on to future generations what is almost impossible to describe.

Because without this telling, who will believe in the generations to come that what we lived through was a form of hell on earth?

When I finally found the courage to return to that place, I had to gather all my emotional strength. With the guidance of gifted teachers and the support of kind people along the way, I was able to reveal the pain of the little girl who fought to live.

In recent years, I founded the organization "Despite It All", together with a supporting foundation. Through these, I hope to bring my work to educational and cultural institutions — so that this generation, and those that follow, may understand, feel, and connect with the struggle of a girl who, perhaps, has remained a girl to this very day.
